BASESCU IN ATENTIA SERVICIILOR SPECIALE AMERICANE.

Domnule Rosca Stanescu
SENATOAREA DIANNE FEINSTEIN (CALIFORNIA ) INTR-O CUVANTATE IN SENATUL AMERICAN, ADRESATA PRESEDINTELUI USA, VORBESTE DESPRE URIASA AMENINTARE PENTRU AMERICA A ARMELOR ROMANESTI
” INTR-UN SINGUR TRANSPORT PLECAT DIN PORTUL CONSTANTA 8.000 DE ARME AK-47……VOR FI VANDUTE CRIMINALILOR” “ACESTE ARME SUNT ARMELE PREFERATE IMPOTRIVA POLITIEI ” “In other words, even though craven gun manufacturers tried to evade the ban, those copycat guns did not replace banned guns in equal numbers, at least when traced to crimes. I want to spend a couple of minutes and explain to you about a shipment that was recently found by Italian customs. Some 8,000 AK-47 assault rifles were on their way from the Romanian port of Constanta to New York City, according to press reports and BATF information, apparently bound for a gun store in Georgia by the name of Century International Arms. These guns had a value of more than $7 million — 8,000 AK-47s.
. Though this shipment may very well have been illegal in any case under a 1989 Executive Order, think of one gun store buying 8,000 AK-47s in anticipation of 5 days from today.
Think of where guns like these are going to go. Some are going to go to legitimate gun owners. Others are going to go to gang bangers. They are going to be sold out of the backseats of automobiles and on street corners to criminals. They have become the weapon of choice for those who go up against the police. Mr. President, that is 8,000 AK-47s in one shipment coming into the United States.”

ROME (Reuters) – Italian customs officers seized more than 8,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons on a ship headed to the United States, officials said Tuesday. The arms, worth about $7.15 million, were discovered aboard a ship arriving from Romania that pulled into the southern Italian port of Gioia Tauro on its way to the United States, Italy’s customs said in a statement. According to the travel documents, the arms belong to a large U.S. company with headquarters in the state of Georgia.
“We know that the destination was North America, but we don’t effectively know if that’s where the arms were going,” a customs official told RAI state television.
The arms were found inside three containers during a routine customs check earlier this week. They were confiscated due to discrepancies in the customs forms, but the news was only made public Tuesday.
The customs office said the weapons had been described as “common guns” instead of assault rifles and longer-range combat arms in the travel documentation. ($1-.8390 Euro)
