Our Vision for The New Oltchim

PCC SE considers the privatization the best solution for Oltchim and the only solution for its recovery. PCC SE has openly expressed its interest in participating in an open and transparent privatization process, as for PCC the acquisition of Oltchim is a strategic objective: PCC SE believes a synergy could be created with Oltchim, allowing both companies to grow stronger on an increasingly competitive market.

The PCC SE plans for Oltchim focus on three pillars:

• Restructuring
• Development
• Reorientation of the product portfolio


The German group has a restructuring plan for Oltchim which would allow Oltchim to re-position on the market and become profitable for the next 30 years. PCC SE strategy focuses on the implementation of new and modern technologies and on the reorientation of Oltchim’s product portfolio towards specialized very profitable niche products. This is a guarantee that PCC SE does not intend to close down the factory in case it will acquire Oltchim following a transparent privatization process.

PCC SE has never considered and will never consider such an option as closing down Oltchim, which would not only be against PCC’s strategy of development, but would also make no sense from business point of view.

PCC SE would like to reassure the Oltchim employees that PCC’s goal is to develop Oltchim in a healthy way and make it generate profit, for the benefit of its shareholders, employees and of the local community.
